Niacin
Niacin functions in more than 50 bodily processes and is primarily important in the release of energy from carbohydrates. Niacin aids in the breakdown of protein and fats, in the synthesis of fats and certain hormones, in the formulation of red blood cells, and in the detoxification of several drugs and chemicals. The diversity of niacin’s roles makes it essential for the supply and maintenance of energy to all the cells in the body.

Vitamin B6
Vitamin B6 is involved in the building and breakdown of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. It’s primary role involves protein and its building blocks, the amino acids. Vitamin B6 aids in the conversion of one amino acid to another, the synthesis of new amino acids from carbohydrates, the storage of energy via the conversion of amino acids to carbohydrates or fat, and the conversion of the amino acid tryptophan to niacin.

Vitamin B12
Vitamin B12 is necessary for the body’s processing of carbohydrates, protein, and fat. It is also important in the production of certain amino acids and fats and in the formation and maintenance of the nervous system. It is essential in the formation of neurotransmitters, which are the chemicals that facilitate communication between nerve cells. The function of B12 might play a role in preventing depression and other mood disorders.
